Update from Rebekah Paulson, Executive Director, Friends of Stadium Woods
Many of you have contacted me recently to inquire about the status of Stadium Woods and the siting of the proposed indoor athletic football facility on the Virginia Tech campus. Unfortunately there is not any good news to share with you. The official word from the VT administration is the following response I received yesterday to my email inquiry to President Charles Steger, Larry Hincker and V.P. Sherwood Wilson:

I am evaluating the committee report and hope to have a recommendation to the president later this month.
Sherwood”
Current Action to Take ASAP:
Please call President Steger’s office at 540/ 231-6231 to ask why it has taken more than 2 months to evaluate the APFSEC committee report and recommendations. What is going on? When will there be a decision and an announcement? There is overwhelming support for protecting the old growth white oak 11 acre forest remnant in a conservation easement and for building the indoor football athletic training facility elsewhere.
